DueFile

Terms of service

DueFile (duefile.co.uk) lets UK VAT-registered businesses submit VAT returns to HMRC under Making Tax Digital, using figures from their own spreadsheet. DueFile is a trading name of Lemae Tech Limited, registered in England and Wales (company no. 06029775), registered office 64 Ryeish Lane, Spencers Wood, Reading, RG7 1SS, VAT number GB894252007. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What DueFile is — and is not

DueFile is bridging software: it transmits the figures you provide to HMRC. It is not an accounting system and does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. DueFile is independent software and is not endorsed by or affiliated with HMRC.

Your responsibilities

Our responsibilities

Fees

The service is currently free during early access. If we introduce charges, we will give you clear notice first; filing history and receipts remain accessible regardless.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for penalties, interest, or losses arising from figures you provided, late filing where the service was available to you, or HMRC system outages; our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or £100 if you have paid none).

Ending your account

You can stop using DueFile at any time and may request account deletion. Your filed returns remain retrievable from HMRC through any MTD-compatible software, and we provide a copy of your receipts on request.

General

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to your account email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Contact: hello@duefile.co.uk.
